Success Story for Ms Prisca Kayanda

Prisca Kayanda a member of Tigwirizane SHG, born in 1970 joined the group in 2021. Initially skeptical about the concept, she eventually embraced the idea of saving and taking loans. Her journey began with a modest loan of K150, which she not only repaid with interest but also generated a profit. Encouraged by her success, she ventured into the tomato business with her second loan. With unwavering determination, she gradually increased her borrowing capacity, eventually securing a substantial sum of K4,000. This enabled her to acquire a piece of land by paying k3,500 upfront and reinvesting K500 in her business to cover the remaining balance of K6,500 for the land purchase.

When asked to reflect on her achievements, Prisca expressed profound gratitude and joy. She found herself at a loss for words simply thanking the organization for introducing her to the program and acknowledging the individual who recognized her potential when she herself could not.
